BEADED MOCCASINS

These moccasins are said to be from Great lakes region and are part of the Tom Ficht collection. The red stepped diamond pattern is similar to patterns of the Flathead people who lived along the Flathead River in Western Montana.

These Arapahoe moccasins date to the late 1800s.  The stepped triangular patterns are said to represent tents while the triangular patterns up the center represent arrow points.

These moccasins are a Southern Plains design of tents that date to the late 1800s.  These are part of the Tom & Jean Ficht collection.
